Our Residential Offer
Our Northumberland residentials for Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 allow our children the opportunity to experience the incredible Breamish Valley and Northumberland coastal lansdacpe in all its beauty.
Scheduled in the final summer term, the residentials create a space for our children to gain independence, life skills and make lasting memories with their peer group and our team.
Ed, our School Chef, provides a hearty and healthy menu for the week delivered each day by our trusted caretaker Gary.
Our offer is completely free of charge for children in receipt of Free School Meals.
Year 6 Residential
Our Year 6 class experience 4 nights at Powburn Scout Centre on the edge of Breamish Valley. With our 2 school minibuses, we are given the freedom to explore areas of outstanding natural beauty and sites of historical interest across Northumberland.
Last year our Year 6 class experienced:
- Walking to Linhope Spout in Breamish Valley
- Rockpooling at Dunstanburgh and Craster (with ice creams included).
- Lord Armstrong's National Trust residence at Cragside and the adventure playground
- Coasteering and Paddle Boarding with KA Adventures at Beadnall Bay- and yes we jumped into the North Sea of a cliff!
Year 6 Residential

Our Year 5 class experience 2 nights at Powburn.
Last year our Year 5 class experienced:
- A river play day at Bulby Woods in Breamish Valley
- A beach day and swim in the North Sea at Beadnall Bay (with ice-creams again)

Our Year 4 class experience 1 over night stay at Powburn.
Last year our Year 4 class experienced:
- A day at Alnwick Gardens in the poisonous gardens and obviously the majority of the time in the fountains.
- Campfire and Disco at Powburn.

Our Year 3 class experience 1 over night stay at Powburn.
Last year our Year 3 class experienced:
- A day in Bamburgh that included a visit and workshop at Grace Darling Museum and RNLI Centre.
- A stay and play on Bamburgh beach.
- Campfire and Disco at Powburn.
