Our Achievements
Our school opened in 2013 and was inspected by Ofsted in 2015, 2019 and 2024. WNA was graded as ‘good’ each time. In our most recent inspection, inspectors said “Children come from different backgrounds but learn in harmony."
We have also been awarded a Quality Mark for Science Education, Healthy Schools Plus, Eco-schools Green Flag and Unicef Silver Rights Resepcting Schools Award.
In March 2026 WNA were awarded a gold award from the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom-which is the highest award on offer. WNA were praised for the wealth of learning opportunities offered to children. Learning Outside of the Classroom is a core value of ours and we are committed to sustaining this offer for our children.

A Typical Reception Week
As children move into Reception, their week still consists of lots of child initiated learning that promotes curiosity, indpendence, foundational skills and a love for learning. Children also engage in adult led learning to support development in more specific areas of learning.
Every week our children in Reception:
- Spend 40% of their time outdoors. Children access our Nature Park all day every Monday where they are able to explore, enquire and learn new skills. The children also attend an offsite visit most weeks where learning extends to places like the forest, beach and museums
- Have lots of time to ‘choose’. Children can lead their own learning with areas like, making tables, drawing and role play on offer
- Take part in daily story time, phonics, maths and circle time sessions
- Participate in a music lesson with our specialist music teacher
- Weekly PE lessons. Children particpate in: body awareness, gymnastics, dance, invasion games and practice ball/racket skills
- Walk to the main school and join the 'Family Style' lunch accompanied by our team. Lunchtime is a special part of the day for us
- Enjoy and share snack together
